PROFESSIONAL:
After finishing his
first year 06-07 for coach Dario Jerkic overseas with his team
Weissenhorn, Germany, Sifford finished averaging 15pts, 13 rebounds and
3 steals per game.
In 05-06 Sifford
played with the ABA Charlotte Krunk. He dominated the boards and
developed into a very strong shooting guard. Sifford has had the
opportunity to play in Finland for Loimaan Korikonkarit who was in
(Hypo) the 2nd Division in their championship games. In his first game
in Finland Sifford had 18pts, 6 rebounds, 2 assist, 4 steals and 3
blocks. In his second game he had 25 pts, 4 fouls, 14 rebounds, 2
assist, 10 steals (Triple-Double). In 05-06 Sifford played in the IBL
with the Cuyahoga Falls Cougars. He was the heart and soul of the
Cougars, a starter and one of their star players averaging 14.7 pts and
9 rebounds a game. He also attended the 2006 Long Beach Summer Pro
League where he averaged 10.3 points and 10.1 rebounds. He made a solid
impact at the summer league and open the eyes of NBA team (Memphis
Grizzlies) and also two other teams from Poland and Argentina both in
the second division. While there he worked out 1 on 1 with former NBA
veteran Olden Polyniece, who was a candidate of becoming head coach for
the Anaheim Arsenal NBA Developmental league.
COLLEGE:
Sifford completed his
first season with the Rams in 2003-04... He played his high school
basketball at West Rowan High School in Mt. Ulla, NC...Transferred to
WSSU from Greensboro College where he played basketball for two
seasons...Named Greensboro College Newcomer of the Year as a freshman.
He Averaged 10 points and eight rebounds per game as a sophomore...Was a
member of the Charlotte Royals AAU 17 under National Championship Team.
He was also on the Rowan County 2000 All-County Basketball Team. Was
named to the Who's Who In America his senior year. In his 2003-2004
season he Appeared in all 28 games for the Rams. Recorded 406 minutes of
playing time for an average of 14.5 minutes per contest. Hit 24 of his
49 free-throw attempts (.490)...Pulled down 111 rebounds (52 offensive,
59 defensive). Dished out 25 assists. Collected 11 blocks and 41 steals
(second on the team)...Ranked 15th in the CIAA with 1.46 steals per
game. 4 times Crown Trophy-WSSU Student-Athlete of the Week.

PERSONAL:
Terris Sifford is a
physical player who knows the game. He shows great intensity and desire
to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team. He is a tireless
worker who will dominate the boards both on offense and defense. Sifford
plays strong inside and can guard 1 through 5. Overall, Sifford is an
extremely hard working and willing to do the things that don’t show up
on the box score. He has great intensity and is a very aggressive
player. He is a positive influence on and off the court. He is an
effective team player who is always willing to learn and has a great
attitude towards the game and his fellow teammates.
